Flowers Hospital Kicks Off Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive to Support Wiregrass Area Food Bank
3/3/2025
Flowers Hospital will kick off its annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive benefiting the Wiregrass Area Food Bank on March 3, 2025 and is inviting community members to participate in this effort to help fight hunger in the Wiregrass. Peanut butter is a sought after item for food banks because of its high nutritional value and long shelf life. Yet, it is one of the least donated items. The Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive aims to provide essential nutrition to those in need.
“Flowers Hospital not only supports the patients who come through our doors, we are also committed to supporting better health throughout our community,” said Jeff Brannon, Flowers Hospital chief executive officer. “According to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, more than 43,000 people in the Wiregrass face food insecurity on a daily basis. The Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive is a simple, yet impactful way we can help reduce hunger in our community.”
Donations will be collected through Friday, March 21 and may be dropped off at Flowers Hospital, Flowers Medical Group offices, the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wiregrass United Way, and First United Methodist Church of Dothan. Online donations can be made at bit.ly/DothanJarsofLove.
