9/6/2013
Dothan, AL (September 6, 2013) – Tammy Dillard, RN, was recently named Nursing Services Director of 4 North, a multidisciplinary medical unit. As the new director, Dillard is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing and administration of patient care, working directly with her staff, physicians and other professional disciplines, to ensure that goals and objectives for quality patient care are consistently met when taking care of patients.
With seventeen years of nursing experience, Dillard began her career at Flowers Hospital in March of 2008 on the surgical floor. In 2011, she assumed the added responsibility of Admissions/Discharge nurse. When Flowers Hospital transitioned to an electronic health record in 2013, she was promoted to Clinical Informaticist. In this role, she was responsible for educating and training nurses on the new computer software. In June of this year, Dillard was promoted to the Director position.
“Tammy has the experience and drive to create a unique working environment that supports high staff morale, quality patient care and an increase in patient satisfaction,” says Dan Cumbie, Chief Nursing Officer at Flowers Hospital. “She has proven to be an instrumental team player, who exhibits leadership abilities, as well as excellent nursing skills and compassion for our patients.”
“Be the nurse you would want taking care of you. Be the nurse you would want to work with. Be the nurse you want to follow.” This is the motto Tammy challenges all her nursing staff with; this is the motto she leads and lives by. She and her husband, Trent, enjoy spending family time with their four children.
