Flowers Hospital Welcomes Josh Wedge as Vice President of Professional Services

Flowers Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Wedge as its new vice president of professional services. Wedge joins Flowers Hospital with more than 10 years of healthcare management experience and most recently served as the assistant administrator and director of physician practices and physician recruitment at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Fla. He will oversee physician recruitment at Flowers Hospital and will also work with various ancillary areas throughout the hospital.

“We are confident that Josh’s experience will prove to be valuable in continuing to expand our medical staff through recruiting highly trained and knowledgeable physicians to our community,” said Heath Phillips, Flowers Hospital chief executive officer.

Originally from West Virginia, Wedge is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in healthcare management. He began his healthcare management career at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, W.VA., and has since worked in management roles at independent medical offices as well as healthcare systems before moving to the Dothan area in 2016.
